quick reminder for tonight

It’s been a really busy week over here. We're adjusting to new routines and new schedules, and I am SO thankful for Burt’s new dog walker who is truly amazing.

Although it's busy busy, I didn't forget to check in with you, [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE]! Here’s one quick enrichment assignment for tonight:

Feed your dog their dinner in a different way.

Scatter it on the floor.
Use a snuffle mat or lick mat.
Hide it around the room for a little scavenger hunt.
Get creative with putting food in multiple toys you already have.

Novelty matters when it comes to enrichment! A slow feeder bowl is great, but if you use the same one every single day, it stops being very enriching after a while.

Changing it up is what keeps your dog’s brain engaged.*

Anyhow... don't overthink this assignment I'm giving you for tonight. Just feed your dog a little differently.

*The irony is not lost on me here! Moving from Pittsburgh to the Philadelphia area has been a BIG change for me 😅 I just need to remind myself how enriching it is!
