Burt couldāve been sniffing for truffles?!
Listen up, [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE] - āA dog getting to use their nose is as important as a child learning to read.ā Fern Watt dropped that line on the new episode of Pets Add Life and I'm obsessed. I was asked to be a guest co-host with my friend Kristen Levine, and it turned into one big celebration of enrichment and Labradors. 𤩠I shared the story of first spotting Burt on Petfinder around National Dog Day in 2018. Then Fern told us about scent work and truffle-hunting dogs. (Youāre telling me Burt could have been sniffing for truffles instead of dead deer this whole time? I need to re-think everything.) We also talked with Lisa Spector about her Chopin for Dogs album and how intentionally playing the right music can lower our dogsā stress levels⦠and maybe even help them live longer. For me, the thread running through the whole episode is this: enrichment isnāt just puzzle toys. Itās sniffing, sound, movement, bonding. Itās everywhere once you start to look. Thatās why people know me as the enrichment lady š because I see it, live it, and teach it in ways that most people online donāt. Check out this special episode with guest host ME!!ā xo Tori P.S. I did sneak in a shoutout for my favorite eco-friendly poop bags, too. Because enrichment is great, but real dog life = š© Use my code "wwr10" to get a discount. |
