a new year's resolution backed by science!

Hi [FORMATTED_FIRST_NAME GOES HERE],

How are you adjusting back to real life after the holidays?

I spent Christmas going to approximately 42 family functions over the course of 5 days. Then I got into a hardcore decluttering marathon. With Burt getting older, we're not using things like this GPS dog collar, but maybe you would?

Thanks to my decluttering spree, my top New Year's Resolution is to not buy anything ever again.

Just kidding! Kinda 😅

My real resolution is to feed Burt dinner in anything but a regular dog bowl 5 nights a week!

We're only 5 dinners into the year, and I'm already having a lot of fun with this. Burt loves the dinner-dispensing ball. Although I have to fish it out from under the couch every 30 seconds!

This resolution pushes me to be creative and gives Burt the variety he needs to stay enriched! I found great studies that show how variety is key to food enrichment.

What about you... What are your resolutions for yourself - or your dog - in 2026? Reply and tell me about them!

xo

P.S. Growing up, my mom made us all make three New Year's Resolutions every year and write them down. This might be the first year she didn't hound my sisters and me for our lists (let's see if she reads my emails and asks me about it now! 😂)

P.P.S. In the spirit of decluttering (mentally and otherwise), I also simplified how I share my expertise with petpreneurs. My membership, The Wear Wag Repeat Society is now the WWR Society Vault, an on-demand library with lifetime access and no schedules to keep up with.

If you ever wanted 5 years of lessons around my marketing + pet business expertise in one place, that’s where it lives now. We’re doing a single kickoff call this Wednesday, and then it’s all self-paced from there.
